Membership

The Nebraska Rural Health Association encourages membership statewide from a variety of individuals and organizations involved and passionate about rural health care. Members come from every walk of life and recognize the value of uniting to support rural health care throughout the state of Nebraska. Become part of the strong voice for enhanced access, quality and stability for rural health services.

Categories

Individual

Individual membership is designed for rural health advocates, consumers, community representatives, government officials and rural health care professionals.

Organizational

Organizational membership is designed for health care facilities (including hospitals, nursing homes and mental health facilities, federal qualified health centers).

Rural Health Clinics

Rural Health Clinic membership is for independent and provider-based RHCs located in rural communities of Nebraska establihed under the Rural Health Clinics Act.

Allied Health

The Affiliate membership is designed for nonprofit organizations, public health, government agencies, educational institutions and other organizations.

Membership Benefits

For 25 years the Nebraska Rural Health Association has  been dedicated to strengthening rural health in Nebraska.  NeRHA acknowledges the importance of collaborative relationships in our work to build viable rural communities across our state. In pursuit of this mission, NeRHA joins hands with individuals and organizations with which it shares a commitment to equity for rural health.

 

Individual Memberships

 

Healthcare Professionals - $50

This category of membership is designed for rural health care professionals, providers, government and others working in the healthcare field.

Community - $35

This category of membership is designed for rural health advocates, consumers, and community representatives with an interest in rural health.

Students - $25

This category of membership is designed for active students enrolled in any health-related training program. This is a non-voting membership.

Allied Health Membership

Allied Health Membership is designed to support public health departments, AHECs, mental health facilities, educational institutions and other non-provider organizations.This level of membership entitles organizations to full benefits and privileges listed below:

  • 3 votes on NeRHA matters
  • Discounts on NeRHA educational conferences and workshops
  • Monthly electronic newsletter (up to three people)
  • Electronic advocacy alerts and updates
  • Participation on committees
  • How-to-manuals for advocacy and media training
  • Consultation and membership assistance
  • Policy briefs on topics of importance to your organization and community
  • Notices of rural health funding opportunities

Allied Health - $250

Allied Health Membership is designed to support public health departments, AHECs, mental health facilities, educational institutions and other non-provider organizations

This level of membership entitles organizations to full benefits and privileges listed below:

  • 5 votes on NeRHA matters
  • Discounts on NeRHA educational conferences and workshops
  • Monthly electronic newsletter (up to three people)
  • Electronic advocacy alerts and updates
  • Participation on committees
  • How-to-manuals for advocacy and media training
  • Consultation and membership assistance
  • Policy briefs on topics of importance to your organization and community
  • Notices of rural health funding opportunities    

Organizational - $500

Organizational membership is designed to support health care facilities (including hospitals, nursing homes, community health centers, assisted living, government agencies providing healthcare services and other provider organizations.

Rural Health Clinics Membership

If you have an organizational membership, RHCs will be $50 each. Rural Health Clinics/ Constituency Section provides many valuable services and benefits to rural health clinics in the state including: 

  • Three votes on NeRHA matters
  • Discounts on NeRHA educational conferences and workshops
  • Monthly electronic newsletter (up to three people)
  • Electronic advocacy alerts and updates  
  • Monitoring and reporting legislative and regulatory issues relating to rural health clinics
  • Sharing information and experience
  • Networking with peers and others having expertise relating to rural health clinics
  • Coordination with other organizations dealing with rural health issues.
  • Mutual problem solving
  • Education conferences and workshops
  • How-to-manual for advocacy and media training 
  • Serve on advisory committee RHC-CS

Rural Health Clinics

Rural Health Clinic membership is for independent and provider-based RHCs located in rural communities of Nebraska established under the Rural Health Clinics Act.
