The Nebraska Rural Health Association (NeRHA) is a non-profit membership organization whose primary focus is to advocate for the preservation and improvement of rural health in Nebraska.
The Association provides a neutral forum for exchanging information, developing common strategies – particularly regarding legislative action – and representing rural health needs in a coherent fashion. NeRHA’s diverse constituency is composed of members interested in providing leadership on rural health issues. It includes individuals and organizations involved in rural health:
- Health care providers of all types
- Hospitals, long term care and mental health providers
- Community health centers,
- Consumers and consumer groups
- Rural health clinics and rural physicians
- Insurance, legal and financing organizations
- Policy makers and educators
- Rural business leaders
- Health consultants
